Die Hard Review by Ammar Akhtar

Die Hard stars Bruce Willis and Alan Rickman. It's directed by John McTiernan. Die Hard is about a NYC cop named John McClain. He's out in LA to visit his wife for the holidays. He goes to her office, but there the Russian leader Hans Gruber has taken over the building to steal some cash. It's up to John to save the day.

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all are celebrating your holidays well. Today I'm reviewing a film some may or may not consider a Christmas classic, Die Hard. It's got the Christmas spirit in it, so it sure is a classic to me.

First off, McTiernan transformed this story into a great, action-packed and suspenseful ride. Everything about this film blows excitement in the air. The intensity and the action is brilliant. This definitely feels like that classic 80s action flick. Now, a story like this needs a few great characters, and that's what we got as well. Bruce Willis as John McClain was fantastic. He did a great job at capturing the image of a comedic warrior. McClain reminded me a lot of Clint Eastwood because of his stealth and secrecy. He kept his name secret towards the beginning of the movie, and he was a wise-crackin' war machine when things got intense. It was a lot like Eastwood's role in the Man With No Name trilogy. Even Alan Rickman did an excellent job as Hans Gruber. He had a menacing look, along with a killer Russian accent!

Another plus with the film was how we saw that McClain had nothing but a walky talky to communicate with the outside. He uses it as a way to talk to a cop who helps him a lot in his journey even though they don't come face to face until the end of the film. The way we saw the relationship between these two grow was really creative in a movie like this.

Overall, Die Hard is an action classic. It's got the great suspense and action, and it's got the great John McClain kicking some butt. Along with that, the film has some great relationship development with McClain and the cop. This is one cool 80s action flick that you should definitely check out if you have not seen it!

MY SCORE: 10/10

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone, and a happy new year as well!
