'Star Wars', 'Jurassic Park' and now 'Terminator'? What year are we in?! The trailer for 'Terminator: Genisys' dropped a few hours ago and I have mixed feelings. After seeing the horrible posters and the intentionally misspelled title, I really lost hope but after seeing this trailer... I have mixed feelings.
The plot we know so far is that the world is at war and they send a guy played by Jai Courtney to kill not Sarah Conner but his mother. Let that sink in for a little bit. It's a very bland plot that almost copies the others. It's very stupid to make the same thing over again but to be honest, that's not going to stop me from seeing it. The main reason for my skepticism is the acting
The main lead is Jai Courtney from that god awful 'Die Hard' movie. In my opinion, he is not a great actor, so I am interested in what he will do in this movie but I do not have high hopes. The best part of the trailer, however was when the Termiantor soundtrack started playing and Arnold walked in. Let's hope that he will contribute to the plot rather than be a fun character.
The reason I have mixed feelings is because the movie looks very fun. It has the 90s-esque effect feel to it and the action sequences look very original and well choreographed. We have the return of TI-100 and Arnold. The battle scenes in the movie look stunning but here is a small problem: Arnold says: "I will be back." That phrase never gets old but having that in the movie means they will concentrate on making the story fun rather than brilliant.
Overall, I have doubts but this is only a teaser. I am a huge fan of the franchise, so I am hoping with all my heart, that this will be good. Tell us your thoughts on the movie in the comments below:
