Looks like February is the month of surprises. 'Fantastic Four' , 'The Cobbler' and 'Poltergeist' have released trailers and they all look incredible. The trailer for NWA's biopic, 'Straight Outta Compton' got released and from all we are given, it looks great. Check it out:
'Straight Outta Compton' is directed by F. Gary Gray and stars many actors that nobody has ever heard of for the members of N.W.A. The film that is set in the late-80's follows the group's rise to fame and the problems that they had to face.
The actors look very committed and even though they are unknown actors, they look like they will do a solid performance. The trailer features visually astounding shots and it is cut together so well that it gave me goosebumps in some parts of the trailer. The movie comes out in mid-August and there is no doubt judging from this trailer that it will be very solid but what will the reaction be.
This movie is set in Compton in the 80's which is a very dangerous and corrupt setting. The last third of the trailer is all about the group's rebellion against the police. Since this is a year where the police is not praised as much because of Ferguson, I predict that there will be riots against the police. The part that I am interested in is how the police and the theatres will react. Will they cancel them from theatres? Will we see a Deja Vu of 'The Interview'? I think this is a very interesting topic that needs to be discussed. Write your thoughts in the comments and let's talk!
