Jurassic Park And Rex Creation

If you haven't heard the news from every single social media blowing up, a new trailer for the Jurassic Park sequel, 'Jurassic World' got released. Here is the trailer:

For the record, I am one of the people that were against the making of this movie when it got announced. The Jurassic Park trilogy, despite the movies getting worse every time, is a very solid and a brilliant trilogy. The first movie is a classic and a visual masterpiece. After 22 years, I don't think it is right to mess with them but since they are making one, I will be fair.

Near the end of the trailer, you hear the iconic soundtrack and it instantly gives you a nostalgic feeling and it tells you that they will stick to some of the elements from the original movies. However, there are many things that do not sit right with me in this trailer.

First and foremost, WHO THE HELL WROTE THE DIALOGUE FOR THIS MOVIE? The trailer is filled with stupid dialogues and it feels like it was written by a 6th grader trying to write a short story filled with action. It seemed very unnatural to me.Let me share some examples:

"And remember, if something chases you, run." (A mother says this to her child)

"You just went and made a new dinosaur? Not a good idea."

The story is bland but if 'Jurassic Park III" told you something, it is that there is only so much you can do in a movie with dinosaurs. The idea of creating one dinosaur using the genetics of different dinosaurs is a very stupid idea but with all we know so far from this trailer, they can take this in a different angle. I do not like judging stories from trailers because they can only say so much.

The visual effects seemed just as good as the previous movies. I was expecting to be blown away because you would think we have gotten somewhere after 22 years but nope! It still looks the same. I don't know what I was expecting but it felt like the director was trying to replicate the shots used in the previous movies, instead of using today's technology to create something dramatic and epic.

Overall, the trailer disappointed me a little bit but I still have hope. Chris Pratt looks like he will do a great job and Steven Spielberg is the executive producer. What did you think of the movie? Tell us in the comments and let's discuss!
