FAN THEORY: Dumbledore's Role In 'The Deathly Hallows' Story

Expecto-Theorum! We have a mind-blowing fan theory for you today! And, it's about 'Harry Potter'. One of the many things people love talking about. This article contains spoilers for 'Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows Part 2'. One of the highlights of the last movie of the franchise was the story of The Tale of the Three Brothers. If you don't remember it, here it is:

In short, the Deathly Hallows are three very powerful objects given to the Peverll brothers. There is the Elder Wand for the brother that seeks power, the Resurrection Stone for the brother that seeks to bring back a loved one and finally the Invisibility Cloak for the brother that seeks survival. The Deathly Hallows represent the ambitions of Voldemort, Snape and Harry.

It makes sense. Voldemort only seeks power, which makes him the Elder Wand. Snape did everything for Lily Potter, which makes him the Resurrection Stone. And finally, Harry is the Invisibility Cloak because he is the boy who lived. However, the point that Tumblr blogger harryjxmespotter brought up is how Dumbledore fits into this story...

Dumbledore is Death

You may be surprised but there are a lot hints at why this is true.

He used to be the owner of all three Deathly Hallows

Dumbledore was the owner of all three of the three artifacts at some point. He borrowed the Invisibility Cloak from James Potter. He owned the Elder Wand by defeating the previous owner Gellert Grindelwald. And he sought for the Resurrection Stone when his sister died.

He was behind the death of Snape, Voldemort and Harry

This might give you some goosebumps. He prepared Harry to die with the fountain at his office. He made Snape die for the sake of Lily Potter. And, he prepared Harry to kill Voldemort. Just like in the story, Death took the lives of the owners of the Deathly Hallows.

He greeted Harry at the Train Station

When Harry died, he saw Dumbledore. Not his parents. Not Sirius. He saw Dumbledore.

He is an old friend

In the story, the verse "The one who greeted death like an old friend" is said for the bearer of the Invisibility Cloak. Dumbledore is the old friend that Harry saw when he died.

So, what do you think of this theory? Is it stupid or do you like it? Were we just stating the obvious for you? Let's discuss in the comments!
