Top 5 Most Anticipated Movies For The Rest of 2014 by Ammar Akhtar

At this point of the year, we are somewhat close to the end of the year, which means we have some good movies along the way! This season has some oscar bait, some war epics, and a few flops here and there! Today we look through the movies left to be seen this year. Welcome to the Top 5 most anticipated movies for the rest of 2014.

#5: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt. 1

Back in 2013, a film called Catching Fire came out and I was blown away. It was a great film with some excellent action and suspense. I can't wait until Mockingjay comes out. I am really looking forward to it because I was very surprised how much the Hunger Games movies improved from the first to the second. They fixed a lot of the flaws they had in the first film, and I was very pleased. I hope this series will surprise me even more with this film!

#4: Gone Girl

Gone Girl is a film by David Fincher, known for films such as Fight Club, The Social Network, and Se7en. What really makes the film different from others is that it's story seems to be great. The plot and the trailer are very appealing and interesting to me. Fincher has another golden hit upon his hands! Here's a synopsis from IMDb: On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne reports that his wife, Amy, has gone missing. Under pressure from the police and a growing media frenzy, Nick's portrait of a blissful union begins to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behavior have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?

#3: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

The Hobbit series is back for one final battle! Based on the trailers, I'm absolutely positive there will be a fire breathing dragon, some elves, and whole bunch of dwarfs all fighting each other. Honestly, who would not want to see that!?! This film is sure to be great. I'm really excited for this. I loved the second one, and I did enjoy the first one. This series, like The Hunger Games, fixed a lot of it's flaws from the first film. I hope this one will be even more epic than the second one! (It probably will, its called THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES!!!)

#2: Nightcrawler

Nightcrawler is a film with Jake Gylenhaall. It looks like he's craving an oscar because he has some creepy moments in the trailer. He screams at a mirror, and looks really skinny! I loved the trailers for this movie. It setup an edgy, yet creepy vibe that's really looks great. I'm really excited for this film. (You have to make the money to buy a ticket).

With so many films i'm looking forward to, here are some honorable mentions:

Big Hero 6

Exodus: Gods and Kings

Dumb and Dumber To

White Bird In A Blizzard

#1: Interstellar

You will not believe how badly I want to see this. The moment I saw the trailer, I knew this was something special. First of all, what a great story! The trailers have built a plot so great and powerful. What's even more surprising is that I don't know half of it! The trailers have kept the some of the elements under wraps, and I think that's great. Keep us surprised! Second, this is a film by Christopher Nolan, the man behind The Dark Knight and Inception. Nolan is probably one of my favorite directors, so I'm really excited to see him back at what he does best. Guys, I'm positive this film won't disappoint.
