From the Invincible Iron Man to the Incredible Hulk, Marvel's comics and movies have made many people's lives better and definitely shaped childhoods. In honour of Marvel's First phase coming to an end, here are the Top 5 Marvel Movies. These are the movies that are most powerful in plot, characters, emotion and just plain awesome in general. The box office numbers will not affect the

5. The Avengers
The movie that combined four franchises in 1 movie! Because who doesn’t want to see Iron Man fight Thor? Marvel spent years building up to this movie and it did not disappoint. It had tons of incredible action scenes and many humorous one-liners while staying true to the comics. In this movie, Nick Fury assembles the world's greatest heroes to fight the evil Loki and his army. This movie definitely deserves a space in the top 5 list.

4. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
How often are sequels better than the original movie? Well this movie had a lot of great things going for this movie. There was a lot of character development, an incredible story and the whole patriotism that was in the first movie is not in this movie instead, Captain America finds out there are things wrong with the system and decides to do what is right, rather than following orders.

3. Iron Man

The masterfully crafted Iron Man rightfully deserves a space on this list. Usually the first movie of a superhero franchise is very slow and spends a majority of the time building characters but this movie was fast paced and fun to watch from the beginning till the end. Robert Downey Jr. makes this movie what it is. He was the perfect choice for this movie.

2. X-Men: Days of Future Past

Probably the most emotional superhero movie I have ever seen. Bryan Singer returns to directing the X-Men series and does a brilliant job at clearing some of the mistakes of the past movies. This movie brilliantly develops characters with a fast-paced and incredible story.

1. Guardians of the Galaxy

A group of misfits protect the galaxy. That’s a pretty bland plot but you will be surprised at how much you will enjoy this movie. This was a perfectly crafted piece. In The Avengers, there is Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, and Thor … oh wait, also that guy that shoots arrows and the chick. Every character in this movie serve a purpose in the meaning of the story and you will find yourself wondering why you feel so much for a character that can only say three words. This movie is an evidence of why James Gunn is a genius.
